The man charged with entering restricted areas at Guernsey Airport has been remanded in custody for another 10 days.

51-year-old Russell Payne was arrested on both Saturday and Sunday mornings after being found on the airfield.

A doctor who has seen him while being held on remand has raised concerns over his ability to enter pleas.

Duty Advocate Sarah Morgan representing Mr Payne, agreed with another short remand in custody while other matters are resolved.

Mr Payne faces 12 charges in total – eight relate to the airport incidents, while four relate to events in 2021 and 2022 involving motoring offences and failing to surrender to custody.

Magistrate Gary Perry adjourned the case, and remanded Mr Payne in custody, until 27 October.
