A Guernsey production company is casting local actors – and the opportunity could be yours.
Guernsey Filmworks, alongside Outer Space Media, are co-producing ‘Nutcracker Nightmare’.
They are currently looking for local talent in the film that will be entirely filmed in Guernsey.
To apply, hopefuls need to fill out an application form by 9 August.
All genders are welcome to apply as the film is “casting a variety of roles”.
Applicants must be between the ages of 20 and 50, and filmmakers say experience is “not required”.
Those hoping to make it to the big screen need to be available in late August 2025, comfortable filming night shots and be based in the Channel Islands.
It will be the fourth film by director Lars Janssen, who is also producing the film.
Guernsey Filmworks is a production company whose mission is to “produce feature films set in Guernsey … to be seen by a worldwide audience”, as well as creating opportunities for young people on the island.
Its previous films include ‘Captain Hook: The Cursed Tide’, an action and adventure film based on J. M. Barrie’s villain, and ‘The Underground’, a horror film – both filmed entirely in Guernsey.
