THE SUMMER OF LOVE

Journey back in time to the legendary summer of 1967 for an eclectic explosion of peace, love and timeless music that inspired a generation.

This Saturday the 16th of August, you can celebrate the spirit of the ’60s at St James!

The incredible 6-piece live band The Psychedelic Circus will play all the songs you know and love from the likes of The Mamas & Papas, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, the Beatles and many more.

Immerse yourself in the music as we celebrate the Summer of Love!

The bar and forecourt will be open for food and drinks from 6.30pm.

Vivaldi’s Four Seasons

Award-Winning Musicians come to Guernsey!

The internationally renowned Viatores Quartet will perform Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” in the Town Church on Tuesday August 19th at 7:30pm. Admission is free with a suggested donation of £15.

 Led by Louisa and Sam Staples (Artistic Directors of the Alderney Chamber Music Festival) the concert is supported with funding by Guernsey Arts.

 This concert is not to be missed – in September 2025, the Quartet will be performing at the Banff International String Quartet Competition in Canada as one of only ten groups invited to participate from all over the world.

Lit with Liberate: Young Mungo

Lit with Liberate will meet in August to discuss Young Mungo by Douglas Stuart. Multiple copies are available to borrow, please email Beth at bbrown@library.gg to reserve yours.

Vale Earth Fair 2025

The wait is almost over… The Channel Islands longest running music festival returns to Vale Castle next Sunday the 24th of August!

As always, you can enjoy a spectacular lineup of over 50 acts across 6 stages.

Kicking off at midday and running until midnight, this year’s event is due to be as incredible as ever, with a full day of music and arts, entertainment and the usual Vale Earth Fair ridiculousness.

The Vale Earth Fair is about community both locally and around the world, and this year’s event is no different. The collective supports multiple charities with their events. This year’s proceeds will be going to Safer, The Burma Campaign and The Linda Norgrove Foundation.
