LAST CHANCE: A Colourful Mind: An Exhibition by Luke Gallie
The current exhibition at The Guernsey Arts Greenhouse Gallery is drawing to a close this Sunday the 25th of October. ‘A Colourful Mind’ by Luke Gallie is a vibrant showcase featuring artworks in acrylic, watercolour and spray paint.
Using a variety of mediums, colour palettes, styles and aesthetics, Luke challenges and explores his own creative process. With a recent focus on magnified faces and animals, as a subject matter they allow him to experiment with an assortment of techniques honing in on colour, contrast and texture.
“As a professional tattoo artist for over a decade, my job everyday is to make art based on my clients requests. So painting came as a form of self expression and somewhere I could really experiment with different aesthetics and moods. Art to me is truly everything, my career, my main interest in life and something that gives life meaning. I couldn’t make my art without the support of my family and friends, especially my beautiful wife Hannah who I dedicate this exhibition to.” – Luke Gallie
The gallery is open from 10am-5pm. Normal museum admission applies – free for discovery pass holders.

COMING SOON: Adorned: A Body of Work by Kaya Ozard
Next up in the Guernsey Arts Greenhouse Gallery is a wonderful exhibition by another talented local artist and tattooist, Kaya Ozard. Opening to the public next Friday the 30th October, the exhibition will run until the end of 2026.
The exhibition presents a body of personal artwork by Kaya, bringing together work developed beyond the tattoo studio and offering an opportunity to experience Kaya’s artistic practice in a dedicated gallery setting.
Educated on island at the College of Further Education, Kaya returned to Guernsey in 2017 after completing a degree in fine art at Central Saint Martins in London. She creates across various mediums, with work varying from tattooing and painting to drawing and sculpture.
This exhibition marks Kaya’s first solo show.
As a tattoo artist, Kaya’s creative practice is closely connected to the body, line, form and personal expression. This exhibition provides a different context for that practice, allowing the work to exist independently on the gallery wall and inviting audiences to consider the ideas, imagery and processes behind it.
The gallery is open from 10am-5pm. Normal museum admission applies – free for discovery pass holders.

Lisia Dance Company presents: Land & Sea (Plus workshops!)
This Sunday the 25th of October from 7pm, enjoy an encore of this double bill show with a mix of classical and contemporary dance, inspired by our island’s coastal landscape.
‘Land’ is an exploration of Guernsey’s coastline and the flora that adorns it during the bright seasons. Set to Spring and Summer from Max Richter’s Recomposed Four Seasons, the piece explores the different shapes and textures that line the cliff paths. The section ends with Richter’s uplifting ballad, Movement Before All Flowers, to look ahead and encourage hope through the darker months until spring dawns again.

‘Sea’ dives into Guernsey from an external perspective. The island has some of the largest tides in the world and some of the best beaches (not that we’re biased). Through the seasons of the year, we can see our coastlines in an array of conditions. We have explored alongside music that reflects water and the community around us, a compilation of accompanying music contrasting each other, just as nature can through time.
Lisia Dance Company is born from local dancers, bringing together their experiences and passion for dance to give back to our community and celebrate what we have.
Few tickets are available… Get yours while you still can!
Lisia will be holding a workshop for dancers prior to their performance, starting at 3pm and also hosted at the PRCPA. Come and take part for free!
