56-year-old Robin Dupont was arrested on 19 February after another person suffered injuries in that incident.
He was brought to Guernsey while under arrest, and has been held in custody at Les Nicolles Prison since his first court appearance on 21 February.
Yesterday, he appeared before Guernsey’s Magistrate for a second time, having initially appeared before the Magistrate acting as a Lieutenant Bailiff representing Alderney’s court.
Reporting restrictions have been placed on the case meaning details of the offence and what has been disclosed during those court hearings can’t be published.
Mr Dupont has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on 29 April.
