βIt was great to be able to see our friends from Jersey Basketball again, it has been a long four years, with Covid, both Beau-Sejour and Fort Regent being unavailable due to the vaccine centres, it was really exciting to welcome them here again,βΒ said Guernsey Basketball Association president Pete Beausire.
βAfter four years you never know what the visiting Jersey teams are going to be like, but we know we would be in for four tough games, so to win all four games is one day is the dream for Guernsey Basketball.β
It started well with the Under 17s, who are all a product of Guernsey Basketballβs Future Stars Academy, winning 68-48.
The Under 21s had the toughest and closest game, keeping the crowd enthralled.Β They won 77-66.Β

Guernseyβs women were completely dominant, winning 97-31, a big statement of intent ahead of the Island Games. The quadruple was finished off by the Menβs 80-41 win.
βIt looked in the first quarter that it was going to be a close one, but after that, going up through the gears and using the full squad of 12 to our advantage, we took it to the next level,β said Beausire.
βIt was fantastic to see a packed Beau-Sejour, the grandstand and balcony were full all day from the first game at 10 am all the way through to 6 pm, the Green Army did us proud.
βTo win our second inter-insular in a row 4-0 is the dream and shows what a good place Guernsey Basketball is in and how bright our future is.β
