Just months after it finally went live, the processes behind the introduction of Guernsey’s Electronic Patient Record system are going to be reviewed.
The States’ Scrutiny Management Committee wants to look at how the new system was delivered, what the intended outcomes were, and whether any benefits have been achieved.
To do this, Scrutiny is setting up a Review Panel – and it wants members of the public with experience in project management and IT systems to join.
This work will start in September, with panel members asked to commit up to 10 hours a month.
You can apply by emailing scrutiny@gov.gg.

Since February this year, the EPR system has been rolled out across the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, the Oberlands campus, the Castel Hospital, the Mignot Memorial Hospital, and the MSG.
Health and Social Care said the new system would “deliver better services to patients” than the Trakcare programme that it replaced.
It was meant to be introduced by the end of 2024, but repeated delays meant it was only implemented this year.
The project went over its original £15-20million budget, reaching above £22m by the time it was implemented.
