A new broadband provider has launched in Guernsey, offering fibre broadband from £39.99 a month, with no landline required.
After more than 25 years serving Jersey, HomeNet is now offering Guernsey households fibre broadband from £39.99 to £59.99 a month, with speeds from 0.1Gbps to 1Gbps and unlimited data on every package.
Because no landline is needed, customers pay only for the broadband they actually use.
Before the new service launched, broadband customers only had two options for traditional or fibre internet, Sure or JT.
Gary Whipp, CEO of HomeNet, said: “For more than 25 years we’ve given Jersey households a genuine alternative for their broadband, and we’re delighted to now offer that same choice in Guernsey.
“Islanders deserve fast, reliable fibre at a fair price, without paying for a landline they don’t use.
“More choice is good news for customers. It keeps prices competitive and service standards high, and our aim is simple: to make quality connectivity more affordable for every household on the island.
“We’re excited to welcome our first Guernsey customers and look forward to becoming part of the community.”
Three fibre packages are available to customers from today with every package including unlimited data, local support from a Channel Islands team and the HomeNet app for managing accounts.
Customers switching from JT or Sure can choose a package, complete HomeNet’s online application, and share their account number and phone number.
