Time is running short if you want to have your say on the future of Guernsey’s marine spaces through a States run survey, which is closing today.
The island’s Government says any answers will “help guide” decisions on how we plan to interact with our natural environment through a wide variety of topics including fishing, biodiversity, and recreation.
It also touches on people’s opinions on renewable energy, potential harbour improvements ,and sustainable tourism.
You can access the survey online HERE.
Throughout the survey the States ask if respondents have any evidence they’d like to submit alongside their opinions on the above topics.

The President of Guernsey’s Environment and Infrastructure Committee, Deputy Adrian Gabriel, said so far the views they’ve heard have been “interesting and invaluable” for “painting a picture of how our seas are currently being used”, but also in “how those uses interact with each other, and what ambitions there are for the future”.
“We’ve heard about opportunities for renewable energy, important areas for fishing, the need for harbour infrastructure, environmental concerns and the use of the coast for sporting activities.
“We’d really encourage anyone else with a vested interest in how our local waters are used to complete the online survey by Friday 12th June.”
