Deputy Jonathan Le Tocq has been remanded in custody after Guernsey’s Magistrates Court heard some of the details around the criminal charges he is facing.
They include making well over 1,000 indecent images of children, and the possession of “extremely pornographic images”.
The 61-year-old politician and pastor has also been charged with offences relating to the misuse of telecommunications. This includes sending messages and images of an indecent nature via X (formerly Twitter).
Crown Advocate Christopher Dunford gave some detail of the various alleged offences to the court on Friday afternoon.

The are all said to have occurred between 2023 and 2025.
Deputy Le Tocq was represented in court this afternoon, by Advocate Clare Tee.
He spoke to confirm his name and address.
Judge Gary Perry confirmed that Deputy Le Tocq would be remanded in custody. and will appear in the Magistrate’s Court next on 15 September for a further hearing.
He was remanded in custody until then.
