A year ago today, Express reporter Luke Webb published an opinion piece arguing the case for a place to paint.
At the same time, we also published a story with local and distant experts, featuring their thoughts on the idea that Guernsey should have a legal place to paint.
Since then Guernsey has seen murals appear at both the Airport and the Harbour, Vivier Bunker on the Castle Emplacement, a brilliant piece by Ross le Brun at L’Eree, and of course, the exhibition ‘Diversion’.
Now 12 months on we’re making the case again, but bigger, with more thoughts, more contributors, and more content.
Over the next week, we’ll hear from visiting and local artists, art organisations, and pose the question once more – should Guernsey have a legal place to paint?
