A Madeiran Lizard, who was handed into the GSPCA after hitching a ride in a suitcase to Guernsey, has found his forever home in the island.

According to the animal charity, Maximilian had some specialist requirements, which meant he needed a specific setting to properly call home.

According to Steve Byrne, the GSPCA Manager, those needs have now been met, but many more animals still require a little extra level of care.

“We are always looking for loving homes for animals from the many rabbits, ferrets, older cats and you will often see many home to homes on our social media, so if wanting to give an animal a home please do complete an online adoption form or pop in and say hello.

“Maximillian, who recently completed his quarantine after hitching a lift in a bag from Maderia, we are delighted to report is now in a new home.

“He needed a very special home and it is so wonderful to be able to announce he has indeed found his forever home.”
