Guernsey’s first ‘Big Winter Lottery’ has launched with a £50,000 cash prize.
Organised by charity Hope for a Child, the money raised through the ticket sales will go towards its ongoing projects supporting children’s initiatives in Malawi and Guernsey including Autism Guernsey, Action for Children, and the Guernsey Arts Commission.
There are 42 prizes in total with the second prize being an Audi A1 or £20,000 cash, and third prize is a family skiing holiday or £7,500.

Described as a ‘sister event’ to The Big Summer Lottery, tickets for the new Big Winter Lottery cost £20 each.
It will feature five bonus draws, offering a further £10,000 in cash prizes, with tickets automatically entered into all future draws at the time of purchase:
“Big Winter Lottery tickets make the perfect gift this Christmas,” said Tom from Hope for a Child. “They take up zero space, change lives and have the potential to turn into £50,000 or a brand-new Audi.”

There are 30,000 tickets available to buy from today. The draw will take place on Wednesday 31 December with the results published on the Hope for a Child website and on Facebook.
Tickets can only be bought by Guernsey residents aged 18 or over.
Tickets are available online at winterlottery.gg, at The Hope Store on the High Street, or at various pop-up stall locations such as during Christmas shopping events.
