Our tally increased to 47 – the joint highest overall alongside Jersey – although the Isle of Man and Faroe Islands overtook us in the table because they’ve won a higher number of gold medals.

The island accumulated more medals in athletics and shooting, most notably through Rhiannon Dowinton winning an individual gold in the Women’s 100m Hurdle. 

There was also a first gold for our table tennis team, pictured top, who became our tenth podium toppers since the 2019 Games began.

Guernsey gained an unlikely fan in Gibraltar. 

Today’s schedule, which is available here, will see further opportunities for the island to win medals in athletics, cycling and shooting. 

There are more medals up for grabs in athletics, cycling and shooting today, while it is also the first day of swimming finals. 

Sark has also won a silver, for shooting.
