This year’s Twilight Cinema at Castle Cornet was one of the most successful to date.
Over 10 days, thousands of people came to the castle to watch movies in the gardens, as day turned to night.
More than 2,300 people watched films this year, from cute cartoons to cult classics.
Helen Glencross, Head of Heritage Services, said the “wonderful” event had become “a firm favourite in Guernsey’s summer events calendar”.
This year’s “incredible attendance” reflected “just how much it is enjoyed by the community”, she added.

With a run of fine weather, demand for tickets was high, with family-friendly films starting at 17:00 followed by more mature movies at 19:00.
Some of the family-friendly flicks included the first two ‘Zootropolis’ films, and ‘Happy Feet’, all of which sold out in days.
Meanwhile, ‘Penguins of Madagascar’, ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ and ‘Peter Rabbit’ also proved popular.
The evenings were also well attended, with ‘Bridesmaids’, ‘The Mummy’, ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’, ‘Ghost’ and ‘Clueless’ all screening to packed audiences.
Ms Glencross added: “Blessed with excellent weather, stunning sunsets and a relaxed atmosphere, the event provided a fantastic opportunity to showcase Castle Cornet at its very best and to welcome new audiences into this iconic historic site.”
She thanked “everyone who collaborated on the event and contributed to its success”, including the team at Beau Sejour, the States of Guernsey marketing team, and the visitor services team at Guernsey Museums.
