Top Stories.

Thursday was ‘World Bee Day’, but which stories had you buzzing this week and which had a sting in their tail?

From death threats to secret sex tapes, here are the stories you’ve been making a beeline for.

1. 12 years for brothers who raped 13-year-old

Two pedophile brothers who raped a teenage girl multiple times over a number of years were sentenced to 12 years each in jail.

Kiley and Jason Michel’s crimes – which started more than 25 years ago – were described as “despicable” by the judge.

2. Telecoms offences for man who sent ‘death threats’

A 31-year-old man arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill other people has pleaded guilty to telecoms offences.

Police had previously issued a statement denying that the alleged offences were racially-motivated.

3. “Snail-like” pervert made secret sex tapes

A pervert who broke into people’s houses to film them having sex and in the shower was sent to jail this week.

Kirk Geoff Bishop (40) made more than 130 videos and images left, leaving “a dirty and unpleasant snail-like trail” in his wake, according to the judge.

4. Bin thrown as trouble kicks off at football

It wasn’t just the footballers kicking off at this year’s Muratti, as supporters from both sides were filmed in violent clashes.

Videos showed a bin being thrown and thugs chasing, kicking and punching supporters – with one player making a rude gesture to rival fans.

5. Scammers prey on nuns

Nuns may be more used to praying than being preyed on, but that’s exactly what happened this week when scammers rinsed a local convent for £10,000.

Two men were arrested after pretending to be police officers who needed the cash as part of an investigation.

Dialysis dilemma…

A woman who spent most of her life in Alderney may have to leave the island if it doesn’t get a new kidney dialysis machine.

71-year-old Julie Main said she was one of at least three islanders who needed dialysis, but the States of Guernsey was “not considering” on-island dialysis.
