They are looking for witnesses to the incident, which they say took place in the early hours of Sunday morning. The alleged victim, a 30-year-old male, suffered several injuries which needed medical care.
The Police are appealing to anyone who might have seen or heard anything on Sunday at about 00:25, in the area between Colomberie and Hastings Road.
