Here’s this week’s offering…

Future Festive: Winter Art Market

ArtHouse Jersey has opened the doors to its Future Festival: Winter Art Market, which has transformed Capital House into a festival playground of creativity.

The market is now open to visit until Sunday 21 December, and entry is free with no bookings required.

Future Festive sets out to reimagine the traditional Christmas market, inviting islanders to step into a colourful, community-driven celebration of local talent from 16 artists and community groups.

Running daily from 12pm until 6pm, with a late night opening until 8pm on Thursday 18 December, the event offers a welcoming and interactive art environment.

Beyond the market stalls, visitors can immerse themselves in two sensory installations designed to inspire slow, reflective moments amid the festive bustle.

The over-30s daytime clubbing event promises festive fun and 80s and 90s hits.

The celebration is taking place from 4pm to 9pm at The Drift at the Royal Yacht on Saturday 13 December.

Festive Drag Queens will be joined by sparkling podium dancers for sing-alongs and lip-syncs to all the classic holiday bangers, while Christmas cocktails and seasonal drinks will keep the mood merry.

Guests are encouraged to dress to impress, with prizes up for grabs for the best Christmas-themed outfits.

The market will offer gifts, cards and wrap, antiques, collectables, jewellery, perfumes, home and car scents and more.

Seasonal essentials are in full supply too – with hats, gloves, scarves, toys, games, stocking fillers on offer, and even dog treats for your four-legged friends.

Local makers will be out in force offering homemade jams, chutneys, cake, and an array of knitted baby items and toys.

The event is free to attend, and you can find out more information about the market here.

Christmas Tractor Run 2025

Jersey is set for a festive first this weekend as the island gears up for its debut Christmas Tractor run in aid of Jersey Hospice.

The event is taking place on Sunday 14 December.

Viewing opens from 3pm, before the engines start at 4.30pm.

The tractors will depart from Albert Bartlett’s pack house in Trinity, where the celebrations begin with the judging of two competitions: Best Lit-Up Tractor and Best Dressed Driver.

Spectators can expect plenty of fairy lights, tinsel and on-site refreshments.
