The team worked for several hours on Saturday afternoon to tackle the fire before it got worse.
The fire service believes that it was sparked by an unattended campfire, which has led them to issue let another warning to the public.

They have now urged islanders “to be particularly vigilant when lighting fires of any kind, disposing of used barbecues and discarding cigarette butts.”
