A concert to mark the Jersey Youth Symphony Orchestra’s two-year anniversary this weekend has been postponed.
The group of young musicians, who are aged between 13 and 25 years old, were due to perform at Les Quennevais School on Saturday 13 September.
The concert was to be led by conductor Russell Abraham, and feature repertoire including Tango in D and Waltz in F.
Savanna Vogt, who was crowned as the Jersey Young Musician of the Year in March, was also due to perform at the event.
The 16-year-old vocalist picked up the coveted title and a £1,000 prize towards her musical studies after wowing judges with a setlist that spanned from Mozart to Rachmaninoff, and folk to opera.
This year, the Jersey Youth Symphony Orchestra is aiming to develop links with their counterparts in Guernsey, working alongside members of the Guernsey Music Service.
