A St John’s Ambulance emergency responder has been made a Member of the Order of St John in recognition of his service.

Luke Nerac, who has more than 20 years of service was presented with the award earlier this week.

This recognises his commitment to service, his dedication to helping others, and the values of the Order of St John – the order of chivalry that founded St John’s Ambulance.

The charity congratulated Mr Nerac on “this well-deserved achievement” and thanked him for his contribution to St John’s Ambulance and to the island.

Mr Nerac was previously awarded the Royal Humane Society’s First Bar for 15 years’ service in 2020.
