Hundreds of islanders of all ages flocked to St Helier on Friday for the official switching on of the Christmas lights.
Families and friends gathered to get in the festive spirit as live music and street entertainment accompanied Santa’s sleigh from West’s Centre to the Christmas Village in Parade Gardens.
Frozen’s Elsa and Olaf appeared on stage to sing hits from the Disney movie, whilst Santa and his elves began the countdown to the light’s switch-on – which was marked with fireworks and confetti snow.
