A MAN has admitted creating a pseudo-image of a child in what is believed to be a first-of-its-kind case in Jersey.

Admitting a string of sexual offences, Carl Robert Elton (51) pleaded guilty to two counts of making indecent images of children, one count of making an indecent pseudo-image of a child, two counts of distributing indecent images of children, and one count of voyeurism.

He had already admitted to one count of making indecent images of children and two counts of voyeurism. The voyeurism charges referred to his recording images under people’s clothing.

Appearing in the Royal Court on Friday, Elton denied a fourth voyeurism charge.

Some of his admissions were made on a basis of plea, which the court is to consider ahead of Elton’s sentencing on 25 November.
