A 44-year-old man appeared in the Magistrate’s Court this morning charged with six counts of malicious damage to mobile phones and radio masts.
Mariusz Szymanski was arrested on Friday and remanded in custody following the alleged vandalism of five mobile phone network sites across St Ouen, St Lawrence and St Mary last week.
Some JT customers experienced mobile service issues as a result.
The sixth count refers to damage to the BBC Radio Jersey mast in Trinity.
The case was deemed too serious for the Magistrate’s Court, and was referred to the Royal Court.
