Police said the reported assault happened around 12:30, following a row between two men.
The alleged victim was then said to have fallen to the ground. He sustained “some facial injuries” but these did not require medical treatment, according to police.
The suspect is described as a stocky built white male, in his early 30s, with short blondie brown hair. He was wearing an orange high-visibility jacket and dark trousers and left the scene in a white van.
