A 14-mile swim challenge that took place earlier this month raised over £16,000 for a local dementia charity.
The Jersey to France Challenge took place on Saturday 2 August in aid of Dementia Jersey.
Over £16,00 was raised for the charity this year, bringing the total raised in the challenge’s history to over £50,000.
Contestants travelled to Jersey from as far as California, Germany, France, Guernsey, and the UK and St Ouens to take part in the event.

A total of 16 relay teams traversed the 14-mile route from La Coupe in Jersey to Carteret in Normandy.
Each team member swam one-hour relay legs, which were monitored by support boats.
Event founder Simon O’Donoghue said: “What started back in 2015 as an idea between friends has become something far bigger than we ever imagined.
“I casually mentioned wanting to swim around Jersey to raise money for charity, and before I knew it, it was in the press.
“That first year sparked something – and now, ten years on, we’re welcoming swimmers from around the globe to take on a world-class challenge for a deeply personal cause.”

Dementia Jersey CEO Claudine Snape said: “We are so grateful to the organisers, swimmers, and sponsors of the Jersey to France Challenge.
“This event not only raises vital funds but also brings people together in a uniquely powerful and positive way.
“The support from communities near and far is both humbling and hugely inspiring.”
