Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was allegedly wrestled to the ground and punched in the face several times during an incident in St Helier last week.
The alleged assault followed an altercation between a man and a woman involving shouting, swearing and a physical confrontation in Duhamel Place and Vauxhall Street on Wednesday 7 October.
The incidents took place between 8.45pm and 9.15pm, moving between the two streets.
Police said a second man became involved and was allegedly wrestled to the ground and repeatedly punched in the face by the first man. He did not suffer any serious injuries.
The first man is described as approximately 20 years old, slim and around 5ft 10in tall, with brown hair and facial hair. He was wearing dark clothing.
The woman is described as being in her late teens, with blonde hair, and wearing grey trousers and a white puffer-style coat with a fur-trimmed hood.
The second man is described as being in his late 30s, around 5ft 8in tall, with dark blond hair. He was wearing a dark-coloured football shirt.
Officers want to hear from anyone who saw or heard any part of the incidents, or who can identify those involved or the role they played.
They are particularly keen to obtain CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or mobile-phone footage from the two streets or surrounding area.
