A breast cancer support charity is appealing for help to identify three fundraisers who have raised more than £3,000 after completing a gruelling ultramarathon challenge in Wales.
ABC Breast Cancer Support Group Jersey said it is trying to contact Alex, Pete and Luke, who took on the 15 Peaks Ultramarathon in Snowdonia earlier this summer and raised £3,044 through their JustGiving page.
In a post on social media, the charity said: “We are searching for these wonderful heroes who have raised a fantastic amount for ABC Jersey.
“Unfortunately, Just Giving makes it very hard for us to reach out to donors directly…But we want to say a huge and mighty thank you to Alex, Pete and Luke for their amazing challenge and efforts.”
The three men completed the Welsh 3000s Challenge on 7 June, covering more than 50km and summiting every mountain above 3,000 feet in Wales within 24 hours.
According to their fundraising page, none of them had previously run more than a half-marathon.
They said they wanted to support ABC Jersey after a family member was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
ABC Jersey is a volunteer-run organisation providing emotional, practical and financial support for islanders with breast cancer..
Those who know Alex, Pete and Luke are being asked to get in touch with ABC Jersey at info@abc.org.je so the charity can thank them directly.
