A new shop and hub for information and advice for runners has opened in Liberty Wharf.

Rock n Road Run Co is brainchild of three passionate runners, Louise Bailey, Rik de Louche and Nick Thorne, and their aim is to provide a place where runners can come and get good information and advice as well as the best kit for whatever type of running they want to do.

Nick, Louise and Rik all provide biomechanical analysis and run-focused strength training in the shop’s gym and lead a number of run groups each week – from a Thursday intervals session to a social trail run on Saturday morning. They have also recently started a trail running group for beginners to off-road running and are looking to extend to a range of courses over time.

Between them, the Rock n Road team have a wealth of knowledge and experience in personal training and run and triathlon training and have all competed in road and trail running events and triathlons in Jersey and internationally.

Rock n Road Run Co are stockists for top running brands, some of which are new to the Jersey market, including Salomon, OMM, Altra and Innov8. The shop also has a treadmill so that customers can try out running shoes for comfort and fit before buying them.

The in-shop café is teamed with Bean Around the World and offers great coffee and a place to sit and mull over the next running adventure.

‘We all love what we do and wanted to share that with other people. Rock n Road is about helping all runners to realise their goals but also to learn to love the process and be able to run healthy and well. We hope we’ve created something a bit different to bring together people who love to run and those who want to get started. Everyone is welcome to pop in and say hi and talk running with us,’ said Rik.

For more information go to the Rock n Road website or contact the team at info@rocknroad.je or on 01534 608056.
