Three new athletics records were set on Good Friday.
The EY Easter Festival got underway then with a 5k road race from L’eree to Vazon.
Nearly 300 people had signed up to take part, with 241 toeing the start line at 10:00.
Jerseyman Luke Holmes was first across the line, setting a new male course record in 14:15.
Aldershot, Farnham & District athlete, Louise Small won the women’s 5k and set a new female course record in 15:44 before going on to win the other three women’s races over the weekend, to claim the overall festival title,
Eloise Scholes set a new island record for a road 5k when she came second in the women’s race in 16:32.

The four-day festival attracted a record number of sign ups with 60 volunteers supporting the senior and junior races.
