Guernsey take silver in the Women’s Team Cycling event at the Orkney 2025 Island Games. The West Mainland cycling venue hosted an array of impressive cycling from the athletes.
After proving their talent on the cycling scene winning three of the last five Island Games’ Team Cycling events, it was obvious they would put up a fight in this year’s episode.
Beaten only by an impressive Gibraltarian team, who took three of the top four spots in the individual event, Guernsey’s efforts were enough to claim second place in the team event.
Pippa Inderwick, Hannah Kennedy, Andrea Nightingale and Chloe Truffitt put in some fantastic individual performances to clock a combined time of 1 hour 56 minutes and 52 seconds.
The greens fell short by just a few minutes to Gibraltar’s impressive 1.52.58.
Truffitt and Kennedy were also a part of Guernsey’s only gold in the Games so far in the Team Triathlon.
