Guernsey has jumped up to third place in the medals table at the 2025 Island Games in Orkney.
By lunchtime on Wednesday, the Sarnians have nine Gold, 12 Silver and eight Bronze medals achieved.
In total, Guernsey has now bagged 29 medals.

Guernsey are nearing close to Jersey who are in second place with 35 medals in total, including 15 Golds.
The Faroe Islands lead the medals table with 42 in total – 21 Gold, 13 Silver, and seven Bronze.
Guernsey saw mixed fortunes in the track and field events on Tuesday with Victoria Hancock claiming Gold in the Women’s Long Jump, after already breaking a 20 year standing Guernsey record to win Bronze in the triple jump on Sunday
In the 1,500m Men’s race on Tuesday night, Christopher Bain came second.
Nicolas Ackermann won Gold in the Men’s 400m Hurdles, with Darcey Hodgson claiming Bronze in the Women’s 400m Hurdles.
There are also a mixed bag of medals in swimming for Team Guernsey on Tuesday.
Chloe Bown has now won two more Gold’s in the Women’s 200m Freestyle and 200m Induvidual, adding to the the 400m Individual Medley Gold she won earlier in the week.
Tatiana Tastevin claimed Silver in the Women’s 100m Backstroke on Tuesday night with Guernsey’s women also winning Silver in the 4 x 50m Medley Relay.
Delphine Reilly won Bronze in the Women’s 1500m Freestyle.
In archery, Lisa Gray and Jason Le Page claimed Bronze in the Mixed Head to Head Knockouts on Tuesday.
In bowls, Rosemary Ogier and Julie Williams won Gold in the Women’s Pairs, with Rosemary Ogier claiming Silver in the Women’s Singles.
Cycling saw Philip Touzeau claiming Bronze in the Men’s Individual Time Trial, while Guernsey Men and Women won Silver in the Mountain Bike Criterium Team events.
