Guernsey’s young hockey players pressed their Jersey counterparts hard in four competitive inter insular clashes.
While all four trophies are now in the Jersey clubhouse, each of the PWC sponsored sides will come away with valuable experience from their trip across the water.
Guernsey U16 girls played out a 2-2 draw, recovering from a shaky start.

Jersey went 2-0 up in the first half after goals from Anais McDermott and Farrah Firby, but a goalmouth scramble after a bit of sharp thinking from a freehit saw Guernsey pull one back before through Chloe Ingrouille before half time.
The Sarnians came out confidently in the second period, bringing things level after a well executed short corner was put away by Lara Veillard.
Jersey went down to 10 players, but Guernsey could not take advantage and the match finished level, meaning the Reds retained the trophy due to their win in 2024.

Guernsey have not won the U16 Boys in a decade, and this year the script was repeated with a 2-0 loss.
But the visitors were not without their chances, spurning the opportunity to take the lead when they could not force home a well worked penalty corner late in the first half.
The game became more physical as time ticked on, but it was some moments of individual magic which ultimately turned things in Jersey’s favour.
Jersey’s player of the match Ed Hodgson first won a penalty corner and then finished it with a powerful low shot into the bottom corner. He then forced another turnover before playing in Riley Brennan off his reverse stick. Brennan carried forward before rocketing the ball into the net.
The U14s girls match was a tight affair.
Jersey went 2-0 up in the opening period, their first coming through Clara Muller 10 minutes in, who picked up a loose defensive pass on the edge of the Guernsey D, before driving in and hitting home.
Guernsey could some problems, but the home side doubled their lead on 24 minutes when Bethannie Wood pushed the ball into the right side of the goal.
The Sarnians started the second half well, and that was rewarded when they stole the ball off a Jersey player and Lily McNay crossed for Amity Horton to grab their first goal.
But Jersey struck what turned out to be a killer blow, immediately catching Guernsey on the break and Lexi Edward scoring after a scramble in the D.
The Greens again came back to put the game on a knife edge. McNay dispatching the ball after the Jersey goalkeeper had saved an Evie Banks deflection.
What followed was end to end action, but the match ended 3-2 in Jersey’s favour.

Guernsey’s U14 Boys lost 4-2 in an end to end thriller.
The Guernsey side dominated the opening 15 minutes. They went one up when captain Oscar Lewis fired home from a short corner after just four minutes.
Jersey equalised from a quickly taken attacking corner, Rafi Hern driving around the back of the green defence and slotting the ball home from a tight angle.
Guernsey keeper Max Rochester saved a Jersey penalty flick to keep the scores level.

The Caesereans took the lead with a good individual goal from Kobi Helmholt-Kneisel, who spun and finished well.
Sam Le Boutillier put them 3-1 up after being supplied at the far post by some neat passing.
A drag flick from Willoughby Spry made it 4-1, but Guernsey continued to fight for a result.
Alfred Brock grabbed their second with six minutes to go.
