A new record has been set in the Sure Guernsey Marathon for the second year running.

Moroccan runner Otmane Menbar completed the 26.2 mile course in 2:28:48 yesterday morning.

He took just over two and a half minutes off the previous record set by Frenchman Guillaume Ruel last year.
