He has been named by Lee Carsley among the 24-strong squad for their next two Euro qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Luxemburg.

It is Scott’s first time with the U21s, but the Bournemouth midfielder already has 22 caps across the younger age groups, including helping the U19s to win their Euros in 2022.

He signed for the Cherries in the summer and has since played 15 times in the Premier League.

England play Azerbaijan on Friday 22 March before hosting Luxembourg at Bolton’s Toughsheet Community Stadium on Tuesday 26 March.

They sit top of their group having won all three matches so far.
