Scott was sent to the bench after he received a yellow card in the 43rd minute, with boss Lee Carsley avoiding the chance of going a man down.

Germany pulled back a goal in the 44th minute, before levelling up the scores in the 61st, pushing the final into extra time.

It’s not the first time Scott has tasted victory with England.

At Youth Level he was part of the squad that succeeded in bringing home the  2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship, however the question remains on whether or not he’ll be able to manage the feat at senior level too.

Scott may have a chance to do that next year, with the England team hoping to end the long run of hurt, dating back to 1966, with the North American World Cupt take place next year.

It will be jointly hosted by 16 cities in three North American countries; with the main hosting duties falling to the United States, while Canada and Mexico will be the auxiliary hosts.

Scott’s managed to help England to silverware for the U19’s and U21’s, so fans will have to wait to see if he get’s a chance on the biggest stage in world football next summer.
