Scott signed for the Cherries in the summer, but it has been something of a stop-start first season as he was kept out of action early on by a knee injury and then picked up another one as he started making a run of appearances.
He is likely to be out until the new year.

Bournemouth is owned by American billionaire Bill Foley with this week marking a year in charge.
The side sit 14th in the Premier League, having won four of their last five after a troubling start to the campaign.
“I want Bournemouth to play in Europe – that’s our goal,” Foley told The Guardian.
“It’s not going to be easy but I’m confident we can get there. Brighton are a great inspiration, they do a terrific job. I certainly think we can be in Europe within five years.”
Brighton moved into the last 16 of the Europa League with a 1-0 win at home to Marseille yesterday.
Their growth has won wise praise since moving into the modern Amex Stadium in 2011 and then a new training complex three years later.
Bournemouth hope to move into their new training facility next October and then build a new stadium on the site of their current training base, next door to the Vitality Stadium.
“I don’t believe we can get the stadium under way until probably 2025,” Foley said.
“If we accomplish that then we could be finished by possibly the summer of 2027. That would be perfect and ready for the 2027-28 season. That is probably our goal, our target. The current plan is for it to be 18,500 in capacity, which doesn’t sound that big an increase, but it is going to have the right hospitality, the right restaurants and it is going to be a major upgrade.”
There would then be the option of adding another deck to one of the stands to take capacity up to 21,000.
Foley’s faith in manager Andoni Iraola never wavered, and Foley has told the media that the club is not interested in selling any players.

Tottenham are said to be keen on defender Lloyd Kelly and West Ham have eyed top-scorer Dominic Solanke.
“Our door is closed and it’s bolted. We’re not interested in selling any player.”
Last week Iraola said Scott, who made four appearances before the latest knee problem, was “progressing” but “still far from playing”.
