Jersey Bulls came from two goals down to draw away at Egham Town in a six-goal thriller.
Ill-discipline threatened to cost the Bulls as they were reduced to ten men for the fifth time this season when Harry Curtis was shown a red card for lashing out at Egham’s Connor Cullen.
But, Elliot Powell’s side showed their resilience once again to claim a hard-earned point as move to fifth in the table.
A Sebastian Karczewski brace saw Egham take a 2-0 lead inside the first ten minutes, before Bulls striker Lorne Bickley halved the deficit.
Egham restored their two-goal cushion before half-time before Bickley struck once again to reduce the arrears as the teams went in at half-time at 3-2.
Sammy Henia-Kamau’s deflected free-kick just before the hour mark leveled the scores but just as the Bulls had hopes of a picking up a precious away win, Curtis was shown red.
Despite being reduced to 10 men, the Bulls held firm and maintained their unbeaten start to the season in the league, thanks in large part to a brilliant late save from debutant keeper Sam Devy.
Attention now turns back to Springfield Stadium, where the Bulls welcome Ascot United on Saturday for a 3pm kick-off.
