It was a weekend full of wins, big scores and plenty to talk about. Archie Corbett and Elliot Corbel are back for Episode 4 of this season’s ‘The Cool Down‘, rounding up all the latest from Jersey sport.
Jersey enjoyed a hugely positive weekend of sport, headlined by a dominant 45-19 victory over Guernsey in the Padel Inter-Insular.
The sixth edition saw Jersey win the Men’s Open 9-7 before taking the remaining categories 12-4. Avenging last year’s defeat, Jersey level the Corcuera Cup series to three apiece.
There were plenty more wins to celebrate, too.
The Jersey Bulls Men’s first team edged Bedfont Sports 3-2 on Friday night, their Under-23s cruised past Binfield 4-0 at home, while the Bulls Women drew 1-1 with Fleet Town Development.
The Evelyn Parters Jets continued their bright start to life in Premier League 2 with a hard-fought 50-46 victory over old foes Telstars on away soil.
Jersey RFC Women opened their league campaign with a stellar 38-7 win at CoinShares Park on Sunday.
The Royals also marked their return with a thumping 64-10 win, while the Evelyn Partners Jets edged Telstars 50-46.
