The latest episode of The Cool Down with Archie Corbett and Elliot Corbel reflects on another packed weekend of Island sport.
The Jersey Bulls ground out a solid 0-0 draw away at AFC Whyteleafe in a tense play-off clash. Both sides had penalty appeals waved away, with Rai Dos Santos and Jonny Le Quesne involved in the key flashpoints, as the gap between the sides remains just one point.
St Paul’s took centre stage after stunning league leaders Jersey Wanderers 5-4 in a remarkable comeback victory, handing Wanderers their first league defeat of the season.

Elsewhere in Premiership 1, St Clement produced one of the performances of the season with an emphatic 8-0 home win over Madeira. Seaney McColgan stole the show with a hat-trick of goals and a hat-trick of assists in a dominant display. There was late chaos at Les Quennevais as Grouville edged St Ouen’s, netting a last-minute winner in a breathless contest.
In Premiership 2 and cup action, St John First and Sports Club of Jersey served up another thriller in the Tradesmen’s Trophy. A dramatic 95th-minute equaliser forced extra-time before St John prevailed on penalties. Sporting Academics continued their flying form with a 5-2 win over Trinity First.
There’s rugby drama too, as Jersey RFC Men made it 17 wins from 17 with a thrilling victory over CS Stags, sealed by a last-gasp Aaron Penberthy penalty. Royals also earned plaudits despite a 22-10 defeat to Ditchling.

Hockey provided another highlight as Jersey Men edged Woking 3-2 to reach the Tier 2 Trophy semi-finals, with a moment of brilliance from young Ben Heelis proving decisive. Jersey Ladies bowed out with a 2-0 defeat to Guildford despite a strong team display.
The episode also rounds up netball action for the Evelyn Partners Jets 2’s, shooting success at the British Shooting Air Series, and another instalment of the Fixture Forecast battle.
The team will be back on Friday with The Warm Up, previewing another big weekend of Island sport.
