Guernsey’s second ‘Food Warehouse’ opens today.
The St Martin’s store is in partnership with Alliance, and follows the opening of the first at the Alliance store in the Vale just over a year ago.
Guernsey also has an Iceland store at the Market in town.
At the former St Martin’s Garage complex, on Les Camps, the new Food Warehouse is offering a number of exclusive launch giveaways and in-store promotions including vouchers for the first 100 customers, the chance to win £700 worth of vouchers, and the chance to win a Citroën Ami car.
Up to 25 people will be working at the new Food Warehouse which will be open seven days a week, from today, said Micael Feijão, Senior Store Manager at St Martin Food Warehouse.
“I’m delighted to be leading the new St Martin’s Food Warehouse for Alliance,” he said. “We’ve assembled a fantastic team of colleagues who are committed to serving and supporting the local community. We also have an exciting programme of opening week activities planned that we’re confident our community will thoroughly enjoy.”
Keiran Poole, Operations Director at Alliance, said further store openings are planned, once the St Martin’s Food Warehouse is up and running.
“We’re delighted to be bringing St Martin’s Food Warehouse to the island in partnership with Iceland International. This marks our third partnership in Guernsey and our sixth across the Channel Islands to date. This store has been carefully developed with the local community in mind; alongside all your Iceland favourites, it will also feature multiple concessions, one of which is a beers wines and spirits offering – The St Martin’s Cellar.
“With further store openings planned this year, we believe this location will set the benchmark for future developments.”
Iceland and the Food Warehouse stores sell a wide range of Iceland’s frozen, chilled and grocery products, including brands such as TGI Fridays, Gregg’s, MyProtein, Cathedral City, and Harry Ramsden’s.

The Food Warehouse stores offer a larger range of goods and bigger packs for even better value, said Justin Addison, Iceland Foods International and Partnerships Director at Iceland Foods.
“We’re pleased to share the news of a second The Food Warehouse in partnership with Alliance opening in St Martin’s. This marks an important moment for Iceland Foods and reflects the ongoing strength of our partnership with Alliance.
“The addition of a second The Food Warehouse allows us to broaden our offer and enhance convenience for customers across the island, building on the strong performance of our existing stores. We’re excited to welcome the local community to the new store when it opens this month.”
