Business Development DirectorSalary: 120,000-150,000Location: JerseySpecialism: Accounting and FinanceAn exciting opportunity for a Business Development Director to help a global leading international provider of corporate, trust, tax accounting and fund administration services build their alternative Investment Fund Administration business. This will include identifying and pitching for business within the alternative investment fund space, with the target client base including private equity funds, real estate, debt, venture capital, and infrastructure funds. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and develop new ways of working, where you will have the opportunity to input into the evolution of business processes on an ongoing basis. Due to continued growth in the funds department, they are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced individual to help drive continued growth. As Business Development Director, you will be responsible for positioning, developing and growing the Alternative Investment fund administration business. You will also: Win new client relationships for the business and enhance the companys footprint in Jersey, Isle of Man, Cayman and across the wider business;Develop a strong pipeline of profitable opportunities that align to target client market sets, including private equity and real estate; Create strong relationships with business heads, managing directors, peers and colleagues to ensure effective visibility and increased workability to deliver the jurisdiction and BD business plan. Foster a culture of growth to ensure new business grows in line with expectations, including engaging with divisional counterparties to identify and follow up on cross-selling opportunities; Assess market developments and competitive positioning in terms of products and services; and Planning and overseeing new business initiatives in conjunction with the Groups Global Head of Funds. You will be an experienced individual with a strong knowledge of the alternative investment fund sector, specifically private equity, venture capital, real estate, debt, and infrastructure funds. The following attributes would also be advantageous:A minimum of 5-10 years experience in fund administration; A solid track record of business development in fund administration as well as a strong network in the alternative investment fund space; A relevant professional table 4 qualification recognised by the JFSC, such as STEP/ICSA Diploma, ACCA or Law/Accountancy degree; Established relationships across fund managers and a high market profile in the AIF community including law firms, accountants, advisers etc.; Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels; A solution-drive attitude to problems; Prepared to travel to secure new relationships and opportunities; and The ability to work using your own initiative and make decisions within corporate policies.
