Description
To provide 1st level support to the R&H Group
Key Responsibilities
-
Escalate problems/issues as appropriate
-
Work with the team to ensure adequate cover is provided during agreed hours.
-
Work closely with the line manager during implementation of new systems.
-
Use Microsoft technologies: C# VBA, ASP.NET, SQL, SharePoint, and Microsoft Workflow to develop technical solutions for the firm.
-
Design, code, test, debug and document software according to the functional requirements Develop, maintain and support programs/tools for internal and external clients/staff members
-
Analyse, diagnose and resolve errors related to the applications
-
Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
-
Follow all department standards and methodologies
-
Always strive for delivery of IT systems and applications
-
Dealing with a varied range of queries/projects
-
To meet task deadlines
-
Any other reasonable duties that may be assigned
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
-
Strong ability to work in a team
-
Experience in following programming languages: C#, VBA, XML, T-SQL-HTML-CSS, Java-Script, & Net Framework
-
Knowledge of XML / XSLT but not essential
-
Knowledge of Transact SQL but not essential
-
Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Service Reporting Services
-
Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Server (administration) but not essential
-
Experience with Web Services and JSON but not essential
-
Attention to detail to ensure work is of a consistently high standard
-
Well organised - with accuracy and timely completion of work
-
Ability to adapt to a variety of work
-
Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
-
Ability to manage own workload and prioritise accordingly
-
To be aware of the limits of his/her decision-making entitlement and not to take risks in this regard
-
Flexible, with the ability to work to time pressures and react calmly to changing demands
-
To be brave enough to ask questions and raise issues appropriately

To look for information and for (external) procedures related to applicable legislation
