Purpose of the role:
To contribute to the effective operation of the Compliance Team by giving support and direction in relation to the maintenance, monitoring, development and enhancement of its regulatory and internal controls for Trust Company Business, in support of its growth objective while maintaining a compliant culture.
Responsibilities:
Act as Deputy MLRO in the absence of the MLRO
Provide support to the MLRO MLCO and Compliance Officer
Provide ad-hoc support as directed by the Head of Compliance
Undertake specific projects when required
Keep abreast of regulatory legislative requirements and incorporate these into compliance monitoring
Provide timely advice and practical guidance and training as required to the business
To act at all times with high standards of integrity, discretion and propriety and work to maintain and enhance the reputation of the Compliance Team locally by engaging regularly with the business
Skills required:
An awareness of trust and company structures and CDD requirements
Computer literate with a good knowledge of MS Office applications
An awareness of the Jersey anti-money laundering legislation and regulations
An awareness of the regulatory environment and guidance issued by Jersey Financial Services Commission as it applies to offshore fiduciary business
Experience with CDD and AML/CFT related issues
