The Jersey Meteorological Department is forecasting fog at both Guernsey and Jersey airports today and tomorrow (60% chance) which could affect flights over the next 48 hours.
Flights getting in to the Island from Manchester, Guernsey and Exeter were all delayed by about an hour this morning and the mail plane which should have landed at 06:00 won't be arriving until 17:15 due to technical reasons.
Jersey Met Issued a fog warning yesterday morning saying that fog was likely to severely disrupt flying in both Jersey and Guernsey today.
Principal Meteorological Officer John Searson said: "The fog is disrupting Jersey , Guernsey and Alderney Airports, the fog thickness does vary, there has been some flying but for the rest of the day until tonight, there is a risk that flights will be affected.
"Tomorrow morning it looks like there will be some fog patches around but the wind is increasing which will help lift the fog and we've got some colder air as well."
Blue Islands say they will seek to minimise disruption and operate services where weather limits allows and that whilst any disruption is regrettable, passenger, crew and aircraft safety is their number one priority at all times. Customers can contact the Blue Islands customer care team for further information.
Jersey Airport are advising passengers to check-in on time and keep an eye on their flights here.
