THE FULL MENU: The Soup Kitchen goes virtual

Though the island's annual Soup Kitchen has been cancelled this year in its 'physical' form, the Shelter Trust are ensuring that islanders don’t miss out on a 'souperb' Christmas by bringing the kitchen online instead.

Restaurants, hotels and food suppliers from around the island have submitted their recipes, with supporters being asked to select their favourite flavour for a payment of £3.

The annual event, now in its 22^nd year, raised £15,000 last year for Shelter Trust, selling over 4,000 mugs of soup.

Pictured: Due to physical distancing measures, this year's event will be held online.

The team behind the event will be in Royal Square all of today to explain how people can use the soupkitchen.je site and take donations from supporters.
