Regular bus users will have to update their app tonight as CT Plus says ‘á la perchoine’ to Guernsey today.

It’s the final day of the company running the island’s public bus services, before Stagecoach takes over from tomorrow.

CT Plus has been running the bus service since 2012.

The company said it “extremely proud” of its run in the island, and it wanted to “thank our passengers, drivers and staff who have helped shape, grow and enhance the bus network over the years”.

Stagecoach will take over the operation of Guernsey’s public bus services from tomorrow – with a few changes that regular bus users may notice.

The most important change that many bus users will need to be aware of is the new buses.gg mobile app that will come in to service at midnight tonight.

A spokesperson for Traffic and Highway Services said: “The new app will be identical and still branded as buses.gg, providing all the same helpful features as the current app.”

The current buses.gg mobile app which is operated by CT Plus will stop working just before midnight tonight. Users will instead be given a link to download the new buses.gg app.

It can also be downloaded from the App Store and Play Store, and existing QR codes will link to the new app.
