Guernsey: ‘Let’s Dance’ again!
Guernsey Arts and Guernsey Sports Commission come together to join Angela Rippon’s National ‘Let’s Dance’ campaign for the second year!
This year, Guernsey Arts and the Guernsey Sports Commission have joined forces to bring a free day of dance taster sessions to the community.
This Sunday the 8th of March between 10am and 2pm, there will be free dance taster sessions at Les Beaucamps School from Bhangra to Traditional Guernsey Dance, as part of the ‘Let’s Dance’ National campaign, which encourages the nation to get dancing.
‘Let’s Dance’ is spearheaded by Angela Rippon CBE and is all about raising awareness of the benefits of dance for physical and mental health, as well as bringing people together through dance and encouraging those that don’t usually dance to give it a go.
Dancing is both an art and a sport, but ultimately gets people moving together to tackle chronic health challenges, combat loneliness and fulfil a social need.
Having launched the Guernsey participation in 2025, Guernsey Arts is thrilled to be joined by the Guernsey Sports Commission in celebrating the movement in 2026.
Don’t miss this fabulous opportunity to dive into the creative world of dance. See you there!

Secret Disco PRESENTS James Zabelia
A true wizard in the making… James Zabiela might have taken a few years off from releasing anything, but the electronic music world is still catching up with him anyways.
The British DJ is one of dance music’s premiere technical wizards, and he turns CDJs into a bona fide instrument in a way that only a handful of DJs have ever been able to.
He’s such an expert, in fact, that he advises Pioneer on their products and takes prototypes out for test runs.
He makes full use of everything DJing equipment has to offer, with a complex approach that incorporates loops, effects and live editing to create an inimitable performance he’s taken across the world from the US to South America to Asia and Europe.
Zabelia will be taking to The Fermain Tavern this Saturday the 7th of March from 6pm. Tickets are still available but selling quickly.
Get yours before they’re all gone!

Royal Ballet & Opera: Giselle Screening
Experience the quintessential Romantic ballet Giselle in Peter Wright’s atmospheric and bewitching production.
The world turns upside down for the peasant girl Giselle when she discovers her lover Albrecht is actually a nobleman promised to another. In despair, she kills herself.
Her spirit joins the Wilis, the vengeful ghosts of women who have been jilted and die before their wedding day.
The Wilis are hell-bent on killing any man who crosses their path in a dance to the death. Wracked with guilt, Albrecht visits Giselle’s grave, where he must face the Wilis – and Giselle’s ghost. Will he survive?
This fabulous screening will be taking place this Saturday the 7th of March from 7pm, at the Princess Royal Centre for the Performing Arts.
