A total of 94 post boxes have been proposed for closure, with Forest, St Saviour’s, and Torteval potentially losing the fewest, with three under threat in each parish.
St Andrew’s could see five removed, whilst six are potentially moving from St Peter’s.
In the Castel and St Martin’s up to nine could be vanishing in each parish, whilst 10 are on the suggested closure list in the Vale, with St Sampson’s losing up to 11.
St Peter Port could be the largest impacted numerically speaking with 35 post boxes potentially disappearing, although the Parish does have by far the most, and it would still have even after any potential cull.

Guernsey Post said it also plans to relocate three post boxes.
’Box 29′ at Manor Stores in St Martin’s could be moved to a location near the entrance of the doctors’ surgery on Les Camps du Moulin, with GPL saying that could improve customer accessibility.
’Box 95′ on Rocquaine Road, in St Peter’s will be moved from Rue du Douit du Moulin, and ’Box 115′ on the Rue Sauvage, in St Sampson would also be swapped out.
Guernsey Post hasn’t yet confirmed new locations for those two postboxes, and says it will announce them once permission from the relevant landowners have been granted.
The utility had announced the potential postbox closures earlier this summer, ahead of opening the public consultation at the end of last week, with the company’s Chief Executive Steve Sheridan saying at the time that any feedback will be taken on board.
“We are committed to consulting carefully with the public before making any final decisions,” he said.
“This proposed change reflects how people are using our services today and supports our goal of operating efficiently while maintaining accessible and reliable postal services.”
