Guernsey Police responded to reports of a man in possession of a weapon near the Bus Terminus at around 14:00 this afternoon.
Officers including Armed Response attended and Forensics were also seen examining the scene.
A spokesman for Guernsey Police confirmed: “a suspect in possession of a knife was quickly identified and arrested on suspicion of attempted armed robbery.”
